This letter is to introduce you to the Santa Clara County Peace Officer's Association. The SCCPOA was incorporated in April 1965 and is a non-profit 501(c) 4, non-political, fraternal organization comprised of sworn law enforcement officers and non-sworn personnel, from every agency within Santa Clara County. The SCCPOA provides services to many organizations within Santa Clara County including underprivileged, disadvantaged, and/or at-risk youth in order to interact in a positive way with law enforcement officers while using our property. And our only income is from membership dues and an annual fundraiser.
The association owns six contiguous parcels of land totaling approximately 171 acres that are located off of Highway 9, in the mountains above the city of Saratoga. This property, maintained solely by our members, has a campground consisting of 9 tent cabins, boy's and girl's bathrooms complete with hot showers and flushable toilets, a campfire amphitheater, a large BBQ area, many open field areas, and a 50 yard pistol range used quite extensively by law enforcement members to practice their marksmanship and also a place where many scouts have earned their shooting merit badges.
The SCCPOA Board Members organize and volunteer to work with our Campership Program, structured group outings with at-risk youth camping at our property. These campouts promote positive interaction between these at risk youth and the law enforcement officers. Additionally, our campground and property is open all year long and has been used and enjoyed by Cub Scout Packs: 5, 166, 213, 281, 318, 334, 340, 374, 556; Boy Scout Troops: 22, 102, 290, 342, 432; Girl Scout Troops: 776, 1051, 1411, 253, 1459; Daisy Girl Scouts, Royal Rangers, Next Level Church, Valley Christian School, St. Lucy's Youth Group, Santa Clara County 4-H, Princess Guides, South Bay Care, Social Advocates for Youth, Santa Clara Police Department Police Athletic League Judo Club, Santa Clara Lions Club Pop Warner Football, Miller Middle School, Gateway Church, San Jose Police Department Camp Hoosegow, and Santa Clara County D.A.R.E. program.

Please assist us by helping to fund needed repairs to our 1.8 mile driveway via our go-fund-me. All monies raised will be deposited into the road repair account, so that the Santa Clara County Peace Officers' Association can continue providing a place where Law Enforcement and youth groups foster positive relationships in an outdoor setting nestled among redwood trees.
